Paul Jextra b2b Marco Vella
Originally from France, our mate Paul Jextra has called Australia home for the past 12 years. You can find this soundman extraordinaire oscillating between studios, acoustic labs and Dj booths not without his heavy bag of off-kilter leftfield dance music and quirky Balearica, with a focus on the late 70s to early 90s. From island disco to South African bubble-gum, his sets are colourful and spontaneous. He made an acclaimed debut on Ken Oath Records with his Coarsica EP as one half of Caravan and is also part of TLC Djs, The Listening Club, alongside Marcus King, Donnotella and Marco Vella
Marco Vella is a multi-instrumentalist from Sydney. Since completing his studies in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute, he has recorded, produced and engineered for a number of musical projects. His passion for performance has seen him succeed in touring Australia extensively with Sydney/Melbourne 3 piece, Retiree. In 2015, he collaborated with American visual artist and painter, Kyle Jorgensen to create what became “Shadow Mountain”, his debut release including the work of Kyle, in LP and Book form. Since then he has been focusing on writing and recording a second body of work, as well as playing shows around Sydney.

He is one of the creators of Slow Blow which have hosted/partied with the likes of Inflagranti, Soulwax, Fantastic Man, Tambian, Dreems and more. Not only has he made a name for himself here in Australia, supporting LCD soundsystem on their tour here last year, he has also cast his web internationally in NYC’s Output, London’s Psychemagik Fest, Scotland’s Teesh, Berlins Michele Berger Hotel and Tokyo’s Vent.
Carla Uriarte brings an overcomplicated jolt to the head, transfers it to the body and moves it to the soul. Inspired by her nomadic nature she is prone to push the boundaries of sound and movement. Carla has supported the likes of Honey Dijon, Sascha Funke, Andhim and Axel Bowmen as well as being included on Rinse FM “bugged out” mix takeover.
