Next up in our series of next level free parties, we welcome the Swedish DJ / producer famed for his popular and very emotive take on Lo-Fi house!
“I initially wanted the DJ Seinfeld alias to be a short-term project for me to cope with whatever was going on at that time for me. I didn’t expect it to pick up at all.”– DJ Seinfeld
2017 looked like a pretty big turn around for Dj Seinfeld, with shows like The warehouse project on NYD to his debut album ‘Time spent away from you’ in the top 20 list of electronic albums on Rolling stone as well as an impressive 9.0 rating from DJ mag. His track ‘i hope i sleep tonight’ was included on BBC radio one’s Benji B’s best of 2017 mixtape and his miniseries for legendary London station Rinse FM in May ‘DJ Seinfeld presents…’ included guests like Joe Goddard and Fyodor the DJ. If these words are not enough you can check out his recently uploaded Boiler Room in New York and we’re sure you will find yourself stuck in his groove.
DJ Seinfeld’s beats are ultimately guided by an idea of authenticity, true to the spirit of the early house pioneers and the unabashed rawness the confines of their equipment demanded. Rough at the edges but full of feeling the Sweden born- Barcelona based artists admits that he doesn’t believe he is doing anything new and that this music already exists within an already established paradigm of dance music and he is just trying to identify himself within that framework.
